Footsteps to a Brighter Future 2021!
Hello everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well!
Yes, it is that time of year again! Time to slip on your walking shoes and get moving to help raise money for children affected by family violence.
Even just witnessing family violence can have a huge effect on a child’s life. That’s why Barnardos runs ‘Footsteps to Feeling Safe’, a programme for children affected by violence. It gives them practical tools to help them feel empowered and to know they have the right to be safe.
By taking 10,000 steps a day you will be helping New Zealand children affected by family violence.Every step you take and every dollar you raise, helps a child feel safe again.
If you would like to take part in the challenge this October all you have to do is:
1: Sign up for ‘Footsteps to a Brighter Future’
2 : Set your fundraising goal
3 :Get your friends and family to support you.
“I have really, really enjoyed this challenge – and it was a challenge for someone who is lucky to achieve 3,000 steps most working days. It also brought together the members of our team. We would support one another with achieving our steps and also kind messages when for one reason or another the target wasn’t met.” – Michelle
Footsteps to a Brighter Future starts on Monday 11th October and ends Sunday 31 October.
